Mitchell Parker lies dead in the Mortuary. During his life, he served his superiors as a debt collector. He thought his life would change when he finds and withholds a large sum of money. This choice pits Mitchell straight against the men he works for and who are looking for the money. A Day of Violence is a “nononsense” “in your face” movie, which shows you the violence visually and without scruples. Darren Ward presents a movie which has its roots in the seventies Italian Giallo. We can recognize inspiration from established names as Dario Argento and Lucio Fulci. All this is reinforced by an original soundtrack of synthesizers and guitar.
