Robert Schmadtke works at a cleaning facility that disposes of bodies and body parts. This jobs is a great starting point for Robert and his girlfriend’s bizarre past-time. They collect body parts. At a certain point Robert manages to get his hands on a complete human body. The two are overjoyed with this and even start to have sex with the corpse.
Nekromantic can be seens as Jörg Buttgereit’s calling card. With Nekromantic necrophilia is shown without any scruples whatsoever by Buttgereit. This has resulted in a worldwide controverse. The manner in which the necrophilia is shown is considered art on one hand and disgusting on another. What is real, is for each viewer to decide. If anything this movie is controversial and not for sensitive audiences.
