Friday-afternoon on september the 11th, filmexpert Jan Salden from the Dutch Institute for Filmeducation will give a lecture about the work of John Waters in the light of the BUT-filmgenre. Salden is known for his neverending knowledge of film and his enthousiastic presentations.
Before Saldens lecture, AV-students of Art-academy St. Joost Breda, will present their monsterfilms, especially made for BUT 2009!
After the reading John Waters himself will introduce his film 'Hairspray'.

About Jan Salden
Jan Salden graduated at the New Teacherschool in Dutch and History. In 1989 he was one of the founders of The Searchers, an organization that aims to promote film in the provence of Limburg. Salden has worked fourteen years as a filmcritic for Newspaper 'de Limburger'. He is still heared as filmcritic of L-1, a radiostation in Limburg. Nowadays Jan Salden is a teacher at the Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht. For Jan a reading on every subject at any time and in any phase is possible
