The main character Saila hangs around in the miserable plattenbau-district in East Berlin. Abandoned apartment buildings, graffiti and neglected old play yards set the define the streets to escape this reality Saila steps into a parallel universe, somewhere in the future. It is not any better: disaster and anarchy holds the entire earth captive. The radio reports gigantic disasters and imminent diseases. India and Pakistan are conflicted in a destructive nuclear war. Berlin has transformed into a post-apocalyptic landscape with derelict houses and partially collapsed factories. Gangs of squatters and autonomous dressed in black rule the streets. Drugs deals and violence is common and sex involves a lot blood.

In spite of the coming 20th anniversary of the union this depressing look into the future hold no wiedervereinigungsoptimismus. Coming from Berlins fruitful underground scene director Julia Ostertag had made documentaries on another subculture in Berlin: Gender X, about nightclubs, transsexuals and breaking taboos on sexuality.
