Bane
Director: James Evans
Country: Great Britain Year: 2008 Length: 108 minutes Language: English Subtitles: no Cast: Sophia Dawnay, Lisa Devlin, Jonathan Sidgewick Four women wake up imprisoned in an improvised hospital. Their memories have been deleted and they are being subjected to a number of tests. A deep panic hits them as they discover their cell is electrified and as the frightening recollections of a psychopathic murder keep reoccurring. What is the significance of the numbers carved in their skin, what happens in room 571, but most of all what are the intentions of the creepy Dr. Murphy? Can they trust each other and where do blood soaked flash backs originate from? This English hospital slasher starts off as another Saw clone, but turns into something that does not strike with the expected pattern. The end has a bizarre twist which is a nice surprise though some might consider it a bit farfetched. Screening:
Friday Sept. 11th 14.00 h. Electron Upper Theatre Also check out http://amberpictures.co.uk
