The director is present during the festival
In the RECON-series a group of space soldiers search for an alien race, named Ma'hars, which is responsible for destroying earth and planning to eliminate mankind. The series is inspired by the movies of the company Cannon, that produced a lot of cheapies in the eighties like 'Invasion USA', 'Death Wish 2', 'Enter the Ninja' and 'Missing in Action'. The RECON movies, made as popcorn-films purely for entertainment, were shot in just two weeks with a minimal budget. In 2005 the first part won the price for best science fiction/actionfilm on the ScFi London Film Festival. Viel has started the production of part three, from which he might show some acts on BUTFF.
