Weltrevolution is the lifestory of Stefan Weber, his rockband Drahdiwaber! and their dream on worldwide revolution. The film begins with scenes from 1957 when Stefan celebrates his 10 th birthday. The recordings are made by his older brother, who made some short movies with Stefan and recorded the first live performance of the rockband on Volksstimmefest in 1969. In the coming years the band becomes THE cultband of Vienna, and still is. The movie shows several aspects of this famous rockgroup and is a mix of documentary, musicfilm, art and fiction. It gives a good political and cultural impression in Austria of the last fifty years.
