In the suburbs of Moscow a scared man is on the run. He only feels safe among crowds. In this state he suddenly enters the car of a young woman. He pleads her to take him with her. They eat in a restaurant as the man tells her how he became this paranoid. It was because of the ghosts of a few young women that haunt him. She doesnt believe him until he suddenly disappears. After that she tells her friends the story of the crazy man. But not much later they all start seeing things. It is as if they are all affected by the crazy man and his story about the ghosts who only kill people who do wrong. They try desperately to stay alive, but the big question is: how?. In this unsettling and beautiful piece of Russian Cinema we are shown how normal life can easily be disrupted by a different awareness. Although horror fans will be awarded, the power lies with the smart combination of suspense, paranoia, illusions and drama. Director Pavel Ruminov gives us an intriguing insight into the lives of young people in the suburbs of the capital of Russia.
