Postal

Postal (filmstill)
Director: Uwe Boll
Country: USA/Canada/Germany
Year: 2007
Length: 95 minutes
Language: English
Subtitles: no
Cast: Zack Ward, Dave Foley, Chris Coppola, Michael Benyaer, Seymour Cassel

In a town Called Paradise, first-class loser Postal Dude lives in a trailer with his wife Bitch. He needs a job badly, but cant seem to find one. It makes him desperate. His life changes completely when he meets cult leader Uncle Dave. Uncle Dave has financial problems and asks Postal Dude to rob an amusement park. At the same time the Taliban (that's right) have the same plan, only with a different approach.
Postal is a satire on the violence in the world and George W. Bush's war against terror. No one is safe for director Uwe Bolls criticism and practically every subject that is taboo is dealt with. Boll is deliberately trying to provoke people into conversations about topics like freedom of speech, relgion, terrorism and warfare. The productive German filmmaker is known from films like House of the Dead, Alone in the Dark and Bloodrayne.

Screening: Th. 27 Sept., 20.00 h, large auditorium
